The food here is Gourmet Ethiopian. I've had less than gourmet Ethiopian before, and honestly, this place is amazing and is top of the charts and is very, very delicious. I recommend it.
The only thing I will say was odd was the mandatory tip for a party of 2 people. The waitresses are obliged to make you spend more because it will get them more money. I was already going to tip 20%, but tips are compulsory 20%, which is a sort of abuse of trust. The service was great, but let me decide how I tip. It's just looks very bad.
Finally! Had been on our list for a while and an turned out be the best impromptu weekend food plan. The place and ambiance is very unassuming and simple. The service was a bit slow but could just be because it was a long weekend and they were just under staffed. However, the flavors and the amazing preparations made up for all of it. Habeesha, the original beer was light, crisp and refreshing for a summer afternoon. We tried a mix of their main course meals Chicken Spris, Zigniderho, and Enjera Special with sides of spiced lentils, lentils and carrot and cabbage vegetable. I would recommend these place for all wanting to try some good authentic Ethiopian meal.
Took our daughter to eat after reading the reviews. They were helpful in helping choose our meal and I enjoyed the honey wine. It is a nice atmosphere. Clean and people were friendly.
I can't imagine how much injera they bake a day because it tastes so good! If you eat it all they give you a free refill of injera. We got a vegetarian sampler and meat lovers sampler so we could try a little of everything and would recommend doing the same. I'm surprised they don't offer a combined meat and veggies sampler. Definitely recommend!
The food here was amazing. Especially for a first time. Spicy for my taste, but it was worth going to and trying.
Service was good. Took awhile to get our food but when it came, we instantly dug in. Took 2 hours to finish but everyone in the party enjoyed it.
I thought the atmosphere was a tad cold and a bit too loud, but still able to hear each other. I would absolutely come back.
First time trying Ethiopian food and i would say: What a feast!
The whole plate was nutritious and tasty. Enjera itself tasted kinda sour and i like that! It brought up more appetite.
Would come back for more🫶🏼
My daughter and I visited Washington last week. We wanted to try some new authentic food. In the Google maps, we found this place 4 minutes away from the airport. Big thank you to our beautiful server Sara. She recommended us the Ethiopian dish that was absolutely amazing! Since the location of the place near the airport, I would highly recommend this place to travelers.
Never disappointed coming here when my husband and I are in town. The Flavors, the taste, the way the herb spices are put together are so delicious and refreshing!
